Description

In the fast-paced world of fundraising and nonprofit leadership, managing time and energy effectively is essential for success. Join us virtually on Tuesday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. ET for a session that will help you transform small daily habits into powerful drivers of productivity and well-being. Drawing on James Clear’s Atomic Habits and other proven time-management strategies, Patton McDowell will share five actionable techniques to help you work smarter, reduce burnout, and maximize your impact.

Whether you’re an emerging leader, mid-career professional, or seasoned executive, you’ll walk away with practical tools to enhance your daily effectiveness and a clear roadmap to elevate your professional development in 2025.

Dr. Patton McDowell, MBA, CFRE, is the Founder of PMA Nonprofit Leadership, a consulting firm helping talented individuals excel in nonprofit leadership. He also serves as Director of the Institute for Philanthropic Leadership, where he facilitates its two signature programs: Leadership Gift School and Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy. Patton is the host of over 300 episodes of the podcast, “Your Path to Nonprofit Leadership,” and the author of a book by the same title. He also leads the Mastermind Leadership Development Program, a signature coaching initiative designed to develop nonprofit leaders across the country.

Before founding PMA in 2009, Patton served as Vice President for University Advancement at Queens University of Charlotte. Prior to that, he was Vice Chancellor at UNC Wilmington, and his professional journey began with Special Olympics International and Special Olympics North Carolina. He earned a bachelor’s degree as a Morehead Scholar at UNC Chapel Hill, an MBA from the McColl School of Business at Queens, and a Doctorate in Education (Organizational Change and Leadership) from the University of Southern California. He is a CFRE and a Master Trainer for AFP Global. Currently, he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Wildacres Leadership Initiative and as an Executive in Residence at the Jeb E.
