The Corporate and Community Gifts Officer is responsible for securing financial support from Triangle-based businesses, civic groups, and faith-based organizations to support the mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The position manages a portfolio of new and/or existing mid-to-high level organizational donors, shepherding organizations through the fundraising lifecycle from identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The position coordinates with members of various Food Bank departments to ensure organizational donors connect with our mission through multiple levels of engagement including funding, volunteering, advocacy, etc.
This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week, with 3 days in office in either the Raleigh or Durham locations, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Portfolio Management (80%)
• Build and manage a portfolio of 60 – 75 mid-to-high level corporate, civic, and faith-based donors based in the greater Triangle market area, moving existing and prospective funders through the fundraising lifecycle from identification, research/qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Solicit gifts ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 based on Food Bank priorities, potential funder giving range, giving history, and donor interest(s).
• Collaborate with corporate relations and volunteer engagement colleagues to build and manage a two-way prospecting pipeline for corporate donors to become active volunteer groups and vice versa (introducing and stewarding corporate donors to engage with the Food Bank in multiple ways (funding, volunteering, food drives, workplace giving, matching gifts, cause marketing, etc.).
• Coordinate with applicable Food Bank staff to execute appropriate cultivation and stewardship activities for new and existing donors, including site visits, building tours, presentations, newsletter/article sharing, etc.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date moves management information in donor database for your portfolio of donors, including funding cycles, relevant deadlines, funding priorities, and communications.
• Assist with budget projections and revenue tracking throughout the year based on portfolio.
Events and Community Engagement (20%)
• Work alongside volunteer engagement colleagues to steward corporate volunteer groups and support exclusive group volunteer opportunities at branches and offsite volunteer events.
• Research and identify appropriate fundraising and/or stewardship opportunities in the greater Triangle region that would be a value-add to the Food Bank’s development plan.
• Assist Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager in planning, securing sponsorships/gifts, and executing corporate donor-related events (e.g. annual corporate partner summit, off-site volunteer projects, fundraising events, donor appreciation events, etc.)

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required, fundraising training or certifications preferred;
· At least three years of proven fundraising experience with corporate or institutional donors with demonstrated success in prospecting, soliciting, and stewarding highly engaged partners;
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a working knowledge of online prospect research platforms and donor database systems; and
· Must believe in the mission of the Food Bank.

Work Environment:
· While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to work in an office setting, with regular office days in Durham and Raleigh locations.
· Frequently, the employee will be required to drive an automobile.
· The employee will be required to interact with Food Bank personnel in the warehouse(s). In doing so, the employee will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
· The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
