Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate, Civic & Religious Partnerships, the Corporate Partnerships Officer is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and strategy development for the solicitation of entry-level corporate gift prospects and in support of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
The Corporate Partnership Officer manages a portfolio of constituent accounts including the donor relationship, which involves identifying, researching, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding these companies while collaborating with Food Bank leaders, board of directors, and Food Bank colleagues.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of new and existing corporate donors making annual gifts ranging from $1,000 to $5,000; develop strategies and implement activities to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from existing and potential donors, following the Food Bank’s Gift Acceptance Policy.
- Assist with all Cause Marketing requests and manage the Community Corner site on the Food Bank webpage
- Cultivate relationships by stewarding and soliciting entry-level corporate gifts to deepen their partnership with the Food Bank, including site visits, facility tours, presentations, marketing collateral, facilitating meaningful volunteerism and introductions, etc.
- In coordination with Development Team create sponsorship and collateral materials for corporate fundraising campaigns (may include Sort-A-Rama, Spring Meals match, Hunger Action Month, etc.).
- Coordinate and plan special events with the Mgr. of Corporate, Civic & Religious Partnerships (including Chef’s Feast, Stamp Out Hunger, and ABC11 Food Drive)
- Coordinate with the Communications team and Development team to ensure all benefits for $1k to $5k corporate sponsors are recognized and implemented.
- Identify triggers regarding the higher-capacity potential for referral to the Manager of Corporate, Civic, & Religious Partnerships, and/or the Senior Manager of Corporate, Civic & Religious Partnerships.
- Serve as the liaison with Feeding America by attending the monthly Corporate Partners/Cause Marketing call hosted by Feeding America, reporting all notes to the Development team.
- Work with the Donor Services Team to capture relevant data and update the donor’s constituent record within the database regarding contact information, relationship asks, etc.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues in Development, branch, and program staff, along with the executive leadership and management teams.
- Assist Sr. and Manager of Corporate, Civic & Religious Partnerships with budget projections and revenue tracking throughout the year.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, and Experience:
- At least two years of demonstrated development/fundraising experience soliciting gifts or event planning experience is preferred. An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for these requirements.
- Demonstrated success consistently meeting or exceeding fundraising goals in the traditional or virtual fundraising environment.
- Must have superb written, analytical, presentation, organizational, and public speaking skills – including high attention to detail.
- Database management experience is a plus (Raiser’s Edge/NXT).
- Must have a high level of personal integrity.
- Adapts well to change.
- Manages competing demands.
- Able to build internal and external relationships with individuals across numerous lines of difference.
- Must believe in the mission of the organization.

Contacts:
Outside of the fundraising team, this position primarily interacts with the Food Bank Programs + Operations staff, the Donor Services team, and our corporate contacts to include high-level executives.
Working Conditions:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to work in an office setting.
- Frequently, the employee will be required to drive an automobile.
- The employee will be required to interact with Food Bank personnel in the warehouse(s). In doing so, the employee will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
