The mission of Caring Community Foundation is to support cancer patients in need at trianglearea hospitals by providing emergency assistance with housing, utilities, transportation, and other expenses that can become difficult during treatment. Since its inception in 2001, Caring Community Foundation has provided over $2.6 million to more than 4,600 patients across 79 North Carolina counties.
The Board of Directors of Caring Community Foundation is seeking the next executive director. This is a mission-driven leadership opportunity to guide a needs-focused organization to the next level of growth and development.
This position is the hands-on leader of Caring Community Foundation and should bring a high level of knowledge and experience in management, communications, fundraising, programming, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities include working with and effectively communicating with the Board, staff, and consultants to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.
The successful candidate will have experience in fund development, and fiscal management to ensure fiscal integrity and maximize resource utilization for the organization’s budget. Further development, cultivation, and expansion of the Individual Giving Plan, Corporate Sponsorship, grants, and special events will be the responsibility of the Executive Director.
Additional responsibilities will include working to enhance CCF’s image by being active and visible in the community, providing all aspects of communication from a social media presence to cultivating external relationships that further define and create a stronger brand, providing oversight of volunteers, ensuring effective systems to track the progress of the organization, and oversight of the signature fundraising event, the Pay It Forward Gala.
Professional qualifications include at least 5 years of leadership experience, the ability to demonstrate examples of operationalized strategies, hands-on organizational management, budget management and a proven track record of fund development, past success working with a Board of Directors, and the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships, strong marketing and communication skills (both written and verbal), and experience working with donor-based programs, particularly Salesforce and OneCause (BidPal).
The successful candidate will be an excellent and passionate communicator with superb interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills. He/she will be action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and have an innovative approach to business planning. The ability to work independently is a must.
Compensation for this position is $80,000.
