Development Associate
The Development Associate will collaborate with the ASNC Development Department to execute fundraising events for the Autism Society of North Carolina, including our annual statewide Run/Walk events. Responsibilities include sponsorship recruitment, volunteer recruitment and management, and securing corporate donations. This position works with various departments to ensure that the coordination and execution of events result in positive fundraising experiences that meet goals. Key capacities include being detailed oriented, computer proficient, having well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, public speaking skills, and having the ability to coordinate many events simultaneously.
This position will report to the Associate Director of Development and will provide support to the Chief Development Officer and Development staff in general and contribute to the overall fundraising goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Events
- Event Sponsorship Recruitment & Management
- Statewide Sponsorship Recruitment & Management
- Third-Party and Awareness Event Coordination
- In-Kind Donation Tracking
- Manage Event Volunteers
- Attend statewide run/walks and other events as assigned
Operations/Financial:
- Updating notes and actions in RE and TeamRaiser
- 3rd Party Fundraiser Management and Tracking
- Recruiting and Supervision Interns
Donor Relationships:
- Identify, Cultivate, Solicit, and Appreciate donors
- Research and identify new corporate partners
- Create a plan to attain new sponsorship and corporate gifts
- Develop proposal and solicitation materials
- Build and grow relationships with potential and current corporate donors
- Develop all correspondence and tracking of donors and solicitation progress
Volunteers:
- Coordinate statewide volunteer program & volunteer software
- Manage volunteer recruitment and coordination
- Volunteer tracking and appreciation
- Develop volunteer and fundraising opportunities
Other duties as assigned in support of the mission of the organization.
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 2 years + of development experience, especially in the areas of sponsorship and major gift recruitment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Monitor, coordinate, and instruct volunteers and/or interns.
Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000
