- Grateful patients who have never been donors
- “Cold prospects” from a targeted list of screened individuals

- A person you become acquainted with as a result of a routine thank you call

OUR PANELISTS:
Adam Hartzell is Executive Director of InterAct, a non-profit agency that provides safety, support and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Wake County.
Prior to joining InterAct in May 2003, Adam was in private practice as a family law attorney in Wake County. Last year, AFP recognized InterAct for its innovative fund development achievement by bestowing the agency with a National Philanthropy Day award.
Mary McFadden Lawson is VP for Philanthropy with the North Carolina Symphony. She has been
a professional fundraiser for 10 years, starting her career in the arts with Opera Carolina in Charlotte. She is leading the Symphony’s $50 million campaign, the largest campaign in the orchestra’s history and was promoted to Vice President for Philanthropy in July 2009. She now leads the 6-person fundraising department and continues her work in annual, major, planned, corporate and foundation giving.
Eli Jordfald, CFRE is Senior Major Gifts Director with UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center where she is responsible for major gifts fundraising from individuals and corporate donors. Eli has done work with grateful patient programs and has trained other UNC development staff on how to make successful discovery calls. Eli has worked as VP of Development for museums including the Museum of Discovery and Science in Ft. Lauderdale where she led a capital campaign to double the museum’s public spaces. Eli has 25 years of experience in leadership fundraising. |
