On June 2nd, 30 new members of AFP Triangle met with our board members at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) for an incredible new member luncheon. After leading off with possibly the best icebreaker ever – “Tell us about your pet(s)! – Membership co-chairs Tiffany Armstrong, executive director of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Carolina and Jeff Sossamon, director of corporate and foundation relations, with the CVM welcomed the group and led a discussion on the benefits and opportunities that come with being an AFP member.
After a delicious lunch, Jeff and Kelly VanDerlaske of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital led the group on a tour of the College’s beautiful new 110,000-square-foot Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center. It is an amazing new facility and perfect embodiment of philanthropy in action.
Thank you again to all who attended this lovely event. Welcome aboard! We’re so happy you’re part of our organization!
