Mentoring Program
AFP Triangle Chapter is pleased to announce the establishment of a Mentoring Program. With a strong commitment from the Chapter Board and president Gail Perry, a mentoring committee was formed and is chaired by Dee Blake of the Triangle United Way.
Goals & Objectives:
- Strengthen the skills of the mentee
- Support professional and career development for all
- Learn the “tools of the trade”
- Build confidence and knowledge
- Build a foundation of professional practice and ethical standards
- Foster collaboration between seasoned professionals and newcomers
Requirements for All:
- All participants must complete and submit the appropriate application to Chapter Administrator, Sharon Tripp, at chapteradmin@afptriangle.org
- Complete and submit an evaluation form upon completion of mentoring program
Requirements for Mentee:
- AFP member with a minimum of one year in development
- Meet with assigned mentor as mutually agreed upon
- Commitment to participate for a six-to-nine month period
- Be mindful of the mentor’s time and commitment
Mentee application
Requirements for Mentor:
- AFP member with a minimum of five years of development experience
- Commitment to participate for a six-to-nine month period
- Meet with assigned mentee as mutually agreed upon
- Assess mentee’s ability and help steer in the right direction
