Thank you so much for being a member of the AFP Triangle Chapter. Your involvement with the organization will help you meet people in your field and educate yourself about the art of fundraising – and hopefully you will learn to become a more effective development professional in the process!

In addition to providing paid attendees networking and educational opportunities through breakfast and lunch meetings, conferences, and community involvement, AFP also provides scholarships to these events. These scholarships allow smaller and less robust nonprofit organizations send their development team members to become better educated in the world of fundraising. AFP also provides AFP membership scholarships, and each year, the AFP Triangle Chapter sends one member to the AFP International Conference. This is a special way for the AFP Triangle Chapter to give back to the community and help educate nonprofit staffers to raise even more money for their organizations.

You may have benefited from a scholarship, or you may have spoken with a scholarship recipient in the past. The funds for the scholarships are raised as a part of the Every Member Campaign. This campaign is held at each chapter around the country. AFP Triangle’s goal is to raise $4000, which will go to the AFP National office. However, when we reach our goal, we will get back ¼ of the funds raised as a grant to support our chapter – we use this grant to support our AFP Triangle Scholarships. We hope that many of our members will choose to participate in our Every Member Campaign!
