The Triangle Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) advances philanthropy by fostering growth and development of fundraising professionals in order to practice effective and ethical fundraising. 2008 Monthly Meetings *********************** 2008 AFP Planned Programs July 17, 2008
October 16, 2008 In this day of overwhelming mistrust and misconduct, nonprofits are being examined through the public microscope with a great deal of skepticism.
This presentation will examine some of the issues that many of us have dealt with on an almost daily basis through real life examples and case histories. You will get a glimpse into the world of ethical nightmares faced by other development professionals around the country and learn how they tackled them.
The AFP Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice has been identified as the most significant benefit of membership in AFP! In fact, one might say that we and our organizations “live or die” by this code.
We will help answer some of the most common questions and misconceptions about ethics and conflicts of interests. This session will challenge your thinking about how you can use vitally important tools to advance your organization. After all, ethics has a very significant impact on your bottom line!
