ON LINE DONORS – who are they and how are they different?
Double or Triple Your Non-Restricted Funds – Tap the Power of Online Donations
Presented by Donorbuddy
Speakers:
Richard Corpora, C.P.A., P.C. – President and Founder of Donorbuddy
Jeff Hammond – National Sales Representative with Donorbuddy

This presentation will give us the latest stats on what on line donors want, what they are giving to, and what they are doing for their favorite nonprofits.  How do online donors from various generations (traditionionalists and Generation Y)  interact differently?  If you want to capitalize on this rapidly growing donor base, be sure to join us in July.

This presentation will focus on the overwhelming benefits of and need for online donations based on statistics taken from Nonprofit Insights, American Express Charitable Gift Survey, and the current 2008 presidential campaign.  We will delve into online donation activities from a generational perspective (from traditionalists to Generation Y).  And finally we’ll examine features and costs of various types of online donation services.

Avoiding Ethical Nightmares.
Presented by  Eli Jordfald, CFRE

In this day of overwhelming mistrust and misconduct, nonprofits are being examined through the public microscope with a great deal of skepticism.
This presentation will examine some of the issues that many of us have dealt with on an almost daily basis through real life examples and case histories. You will get a glimpse into the world of ethical nightmares faced by other development professionals around the country and learn how they tackled them.
The AFP Code of Ethical Principles and Standards of Professional Practice has been identified as the most significant benefit of membership in AFP! In fact, one might say that we and our organizations “live or die” by this code.
We will help answer some of the most common questions and misconceptions about ethics and conflicts of interests. This session will challenge your thinking about how you can use vitally important tools to advance your organization. After all, ethics has a very significant impact on your bottom line!

Eli Jordfald, CFRE is Senior Major Gifts Director for the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has over 20 years of professional development experience.  From 2005-07 Eli was VP of Development with Exploris in Raleigh.  Prior to that Eli was VP of Development for the Museum of Discovery and Science in Ft. Lauderdale for seven years.  While there she was responsible for annual giving and a capital campaign to build a new Everglades Wing, doubling the Museum's public space.  She also headed the development efforts of a major human service organization in Ft. Lauderdale where she was responsible for a capital campaign to build a new facility.   Eli holds a BS degree and a Masters in Public Administration.  She has been a CFRE since 1991.  She is a founding member of the Ft. Lauderdale AFP chapter and served as its President.  Eli was appointed Ethics Chair of the Ft. Lauderdale Chapter for three years and has made several presentations on ethics.  Currently, Eli serves as Program Chair and President-Elect of the AFP Triangle Chapter.
